Join us weekly on Mondays from 2:00PM to 3:30PM to practice speaking English with other intermediate and advanced learners. Please register for the class by filling out a student application at our front desk.

Join with other preschoolers and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Preschool Story Time uses age appropriate stories, songs and finger plays, and a take-home craft to engage preschoolers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards kids ages 3-5 years.

Tickets are required and will be handed out at the Children's Desk starting 30 minutes prior. Children must have a ticket to attend Preschool Story Time.

Join this interactive new genealogy series designed to teach the basics of being a good ancestor and researcher.  Learn multiple methods of leaving records, research, heirlooms and stories for the next generation to cherish. In this class series, we'll explore different types of records and how to research, then dive into multiple media types to preserve and share the stories of your family for generations to come.  Fall classes build on each other, but are independent.  Class sides, handouts and recordings will be made available. Expect some fun homework!

HCPL has partnered with Oldways to present classes on how to eat healthy by following a traditional Latin American diet!

This program will feature two dishes rich in herbs, spices, and tubers. Those dishes are:

Boniatillo (Sweet Potato Pudding)Cannellini Bean & Pumpkin Seed Salad

Library staff will give a presentation on the dishes and prepare them for everyone to share! 

This event will be held in the 1st Floor Meeting Room.
