Universal Services serves as the solutions center for county departments and offices by providing IT and technology services. As part of the External Affairs team, we are happy to partner with Harris County Public Libraries and county community centers to deliver trainings that promote digital equity and inclusion to ensure all county residents, have equal access and skills to live and work in this digital world.”
Course Overview & Expectations
· “This course is designed to provide an introduction to computer technology for beginners. In six modules, we will cover the essential concepts of hardware, software, operating systems, and practical computer skills necessary for everyday tasks. Upon completion, [learners] will have a solid understanding of how computers work and how to use them confidently.”
· There will be a quiz on every module and a final quiz at the end of all modules.
· If you attend all six sessions and complete the modules, you’ll earn a certificate of completion.
Module 1: Introduction to Computers
