Make your own custom craft wood jewelry! Library staff will demonstrate how to use the laser cutter to make custom jewelry. Patrons will then paint pre-cut designs using paint markers and learn how to use jewelry making supplies to make either a pair of earrings or a necklace.

  • Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Adults must be able to help their children with completing their project.
  • Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.

Learn how to heat press a custom sublimation printed design to a tote bag! Prior attendance to a Cricut orientation is not necessary; designs are pre-selected and printed by staff.

Come make some tiny art! This program is open to adults and high school teens. Canvases and paints provided, come relax and paint some tiny art for our show!

Completed tiny arts will be displayed throughout the month of August. Be sure to come by and check out the gallery!

Artists can retrieve their artwork from the library after the show, starting September 1st. Artwork that is not picked up by September 30th will become property of Harris County Public Library. The library reserves the right to exclude any work.

Participants volunteer to lead discussions and they pick the material. Normally they will propose a title and everyone agrees. This is a laid back but serious group.  They meet in person, February - November.

This story time includes stories, songs, and activities. Children are invited to wear their pajamas and bring a favorite blanket or stuffed animal! Surprise! Each child may choose one free book at the end of the program!

Tickets are required for this program. They are free and available 30 minutes before the program begins in the Children’s Department. .

This orientation session will introduce participants to vinyl cutting and Cricut operation and software in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use a vinyl cutter or Cricut machine and heat press.

Adults deserve to play too! On the first Saturday of the month, join us all day in the second floor Conference Room for creativity and construction.

Any attendant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

For 2025, the July Adult LEGO Saturday will be canceled due to the Fourth of July weekend.
