Get ready for a magical adventure with John O’Bryant’s 2026 Summer Reading Magic Show! This all-new performance is packed with mind-blowing magic, dazzling illusions, and plenty of laugh-out-loud surprises. Come see the impossible happen right before your eyes!
John O’Bryant is a featured family magician at the LOL Comedy Club and a frequent headliner at SeaWorld Adventure Parks.
Learn Latin Club will introduce elementary Latin and Ancient Roman culture to middle school (4th--8th grade) students. Students will be using the Aequora textbook created by the Paideia Institute, a nonprofit organization for the Classics. Students will participate in activities such as drawing scenes from Greco-Roman mythology and drawing comics with Latin words. Over 60% of English words are Latin-based --- students can expect to gain a deeper understanding of English grammar and vocabulary through interaction with Latin in this program.

Anyone ages 8-18 can join us on the 1st Thursday of each month. In July we are meeting at 3:30 PM because the library is closing early on Thursday, July 3rd for the Independence Day holiday.

A bashful dinosaur enlists her friends and the audience to help her overcome her shyness and find her voice. The audience learns the importance of courage, confidence, and overcoming personal obstacles from within—with a little help from friends.
Best suited for PreK–5th grade, but designed to be fun and engaging for all ages, including younger children and adults.
Use a marker, some string, and a group of your friends to create a drawing! The group with the best drawing wins!
Teens and tweens ages 11 - 17 are invited to a social hour with games, crafts, and fun! Registration is preferred but not required—feel free to drop in!
In this hands-on 5-week drumming workshop presented by DACAMERA's Young Artists, students entering grades 4-12 will explore percussion techniques, learn about global music traditions, and discover the power of rhythm for creativity, self-expression, and teamwork. No prior musical experience required, just bring your energy and curiosity!

Excavate some excitement this summer at this weekly arts and crafts program! Each week we'll create a new work of art and learn about archaeology, dinosaurs, and history along the way.
This program is designed for tweens and teens ages 12 to 18.
Registration is not required, but supplies and space may be limited.
Youth grades 2nd-12th are welcome to come learn chess from teen volunteers at the library! Join Andy and friends as they walk you through moves that will get you started and improve your game.
