Teens and tweens are invited to try this fun and challenging game that combines physical challenges with teamwork and communication. Get moving and get thinking!
Work with your team to spell a word with your blocks, then stack the word while holding up a platform. Compete against others and learn if you what it takes to win!
Want to make your voice heard and help shape what happens at your library? The Stratford Branch Library is looking for motivated teens to join the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC)—a team of young leaders who help connect local youth with the library and the wider community.
As a TAC member, you won’t just attend meetings—you’ll help plan programs, influence decisions, and create a better space for teens through service, advocacy, and leadership.
Looking to chat with other homeschoolers and swap tricks and tips? Join us each month for Homeschool Hangout! Students will engage with crafts, activities, and games, while caregivers have the opportunity to network.
This month, kids in grades K-6th will participate in a hands-on, healthy drinks workshop. After a reading from The Secret of Sugarland, kids will then be guided through creating their own delicious drink along with a friendly introduction to sugar and sugary foods with simplified, easy-to-understand, facts.
Join us for the 1st Tuesday of the month at 4:45 to create and build with LEGOs!
We will have the option of LEGO challenges or free build during our building session. At the end of our session, you can share and display your creations at the JC Library for the month.
*This program is for ages 6-12 but siblings are always welcome.
Join us for our Tween Book Club! We will discuss the book of the month, have snacks, and enjoy book related activities. This month we will be reading "The Smartest Kid in the Universe" by Chris Grabenstein.
On Friday, September 11th, we will discuss chapters 1-36.
On Friday, September 25th, we will discuss the rest of the book.
This book club is intended for children ages 8-12. Online registration is required; space is limited.
