Anxious about starting college? Worried about accumulating debt? Here at South Houston we are offering an educational session that will break down the different kinds of scholarships, and which opportunities you should focus on as an incoming undergrad. This presentation greatly focuses on current high school students, but people outside of this group are welcome to join us. Handouts with information will be provided. Please feel free to bring a notepad to take notes!

Hello! My name is Heidi Parra, I am a current technician for South Houston Branch Library. I graduated debt-free with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from Sam Houston State University. I am currently working on my Master of Library Science (MLS) from Texas Woman’s University. As a first-generation Latina student, I want to make sure other people have the opportunities I was fortunate to obtain.
Program is for ages 16 & up.
