A teaching artist from the Houston Ballet will be here for a special Move and Read Aloud event. Dance to Learn is a movement integration program that approaches academic curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective. A storytime format, but with LOTS more movement and dancing! Recommended for children age 3-6 and their caregiver(s).

Join us for Polliwog Club on the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am! A traveling naturalist from Precinct 1 will be here at the Fairbanks Branch Library to share a story and fascinating information with us about a particular group of animals such as mammals, reptiles, birds, etc. She will bring 3-4 live animals from the featured group that the children will be able to see up close, and they will also have an opportunity to gently touch the animals if they would like to. Touching the animals is always optional. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

Join us on Tuesdays at 10:30 am for Baby Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time program is designed for babies from birth to 18 months old. We share books, songs, rhymes, music, bubbles, and toys! We also learn some early literacy tips and activities. It’s a great way to meet other caregivers and to give your baby a chance to socialize.

Siblings are always welcome.

This program is held in our library meeting room.

No registration or tickets required.

Join us for a free, 12-week class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. An English assessment must be taken for class admittance. Taking this class does not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.

Teen Book Club has transformed into Read It and Eat! It's a book club with a twist--during book club, you create something yummy based on this month's theme and then feast. This month, the theme is Scary Books and Banned Books. Chat about your favorite books while making Terrifying Treats and making Banned Books Book Bags! 

Readers of manga, graphic novels, books, and audiobooks are welcome! Even if you haven't read anything new lately, you can still join us! This program is for readers ages 13-18.
