Cooking creates community and colors our world in more ways than you can imagine. Learn new recipes and expand your cooking knowledge in our Colorful Kitchen!

This month we will be celebrating National Immigrant Heritage Month with three diverse and delicious recipes.

This event is open to families and individuals of all ages. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.

Paint alongside Harris County Sheriff's Office PAL Deputies. Through the strokes of a brush and the colors of their hearts, HCSO PAL Deputies paint a brighter future for our youth, one masterpiece at a time. Kids will have fun ​in an art project as HCSO PAL Deputies engage in a Q&A session and provide insight into their law enforcement careers and advice on life and safety to promote a positive lifestyle!

During the summer, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) teams up with Harris County Public Library to introduce children and their parents to great art and children’s literature. Each week-long Summer Art Camp pairs a book with a work of art and features related discussions and art-making activities at six different library locations.

Join AndyRoo on a musical journey to the Andyrooniverse — a magical place created by the ever-expanding landscape of children’s imaginations, where you’ll encounter Sy the Sloth, Podgy the Platypus, and a big balloon that will whisk you away to a whole universe of exciting, animated characters. Using storytelling, music making, and movement, this program teaches children about individuality, togetherness, and kindness through an active listening experience.
