High Meadows Library is partnering with Neighborhood Forest to provide families with FREE NATIVE TEXAS TREES for kids to plant during Earth Week! Sign-ups are open now until March 15th via https://www.neighborhoodforest... 

Trees are set to arrive in time for Earth Day 2025 (April 22nd). Registered parents will be notified when their tree(s) are ready to be picked up. 

Only registered parties will receive trees. You must sign up by March 15th to receive a tree.

Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize. 

Siblings are always welcome. 

We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located. 

No registration or tickets required.

Join us for Preschool Story Time each Tuesday at 11:30 am where we will listen to stories, sing and dance, and do an occasional craft to explore creativity and also help build fine motor skills each week! Our program will be held in the children’s area of the Fairbanks Branch Library. This program is for children ages 3-6. Siblings are always welcome!

Join us on Tuesdays at 10:30 am for Baby Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time program is designed for babies from birth to 18 months old. We share books, songs, rhymes, music, bubbles, and toys! We also learn some early literacy tips and activities. It’s a great way to meet other caregivers and to give your baby a chance to socialize.

Siblings are always welcome.

This program is held in our library meeting room.

Join us at the library for a free 6-week group parenting workshop presented by DePelchin Children's Center and ParentingHelp. Learn about the value of play, child development, coping with stress, positive parenting, supportive parenting behaviors and forming support networks. Also, meet new friends and let your kids have a great play date at the library. Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.

*Recommended for children ages 5-11, under 5 must have an accompanying adult.
