Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

Adults and Children are welcome

Walk-ins are Welcome

This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

Dance to Learn is back for the Summer! 

Come ready to move and dance for the Move and Read Aloud Program by the Houston Ballet! Dance to Learn is a movement integration program that approaches academic curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective. A storytime format, but with LOTS more movement and dancing!

* program runs for 6 weeks, registration is required

*intended for preschoolers, but siblings welcome!

Three soldiers in one presentation! Today’s Americans find it hard to comprehend the difficulties the patriots of the American Revolution had to endure. This program begins with a fully equipped British soldier. Each item of uniform and equipment is explained. This standard is then contrasted with the typical American Continental soldier and rifleman. The program is suitable for primary and upper level grades.

Do you love birds? Do you find owls fascinating? Have you ever wondered what they eat? Come find out and do an owl pellet dissection guided by a ranger from Sheldon Lake State Park! 

The program will be in English and is limited to 25 participants, ages 6 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Ready to become a Pokémon Trainer? Join us for a Pokemon Workshop, where you can learn how to play the Pokemon card game, play some practice battles, and even take home a starter deck! 

Cards will be provided. This program is for all ages.

In this interactive concert, you'll wave your little arms like a T-Rex, run like a Velociraptor, and bop like a Triceratops while Andyroo sings his dinosaur hits from the Mesozoic Era to the modern day.

*Recommended for families with children age 3 to 8.
