This event is a wonderful opportunity to share resources, discover new materials, and connect with fellow homeschool families while supporting our mission of providing access to information for everyone. As we continue our efforts to welcome our growing homeschool families and groups, the idea of a curriculum swap has come to our attention. We loved it! What a great opportunity to provide a space to share resources and continue our mission of access to information for all! It's what libraries are built to do.

Discovery Time with Miss Christine is a fun and engaging story time for the whole family! Each week, we build literacy skills through the five essential practices: playing, singing, talking, reading, and writing.
For: Pre-School & Elementary (ages 3 to 10 years old). Younger siblings may participate with the active support of a parent or caregiver as long as they do not disrupt the program.
How to Attend:
Explore the game of chess by learning about openings, endgames, strategies, and tactics. This class is designed for children ages 5 and up, accommodating both beginners and advanced players.
Free tickets will be distributed 30 minutes before the program at the Children's Reference Desk.

This program is for children 8-12. Online registration required.
Parent/Guardian attendance is required at this program.
Join us for our Tween Book Club! We will discuss the book of the month, have snacks, and enjoy book related activities. This month we will be reading "Last Gamer Standing" by Katie Zhao.
On Friday, August 14th, we will discuss chapters 1-11.
On Friday, August 28th, we will discuss the rest of the book.
This book club is intended for children ages 8-12. Online registration is required; space is limited.

Created by opera singers Alisa and Alejandro Magallón, this class explores some of the most well known tunes from traditional Mexican music and nursery songs.
Recommended for ages 2-5. Children of all ages are welcome.
