Join us for introductory Yoga series where we will explore the many physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga. Participants will practice gentle movement and simple meditation techniques aimed at increasing physical ease and mental clarity. The program will be adapted to the ability levels of those who register, and no prior yoga experience is required.
This Texas Secretary of State-mandated training allows Texas residents to be appointed as Volunteer Deputy Registrar and register eligible citizens to vote. The Harris County Tax Office (HCTO) in‑person trainings cover essential guidelines and best practices to support civic engagement in Harris County, Texas. Once deputized by the Harris County Voter Registrar, attendees will be able to register eligible Harris County residents to vote.
This workshop offers an overview of the Harris County Tax Office and the basics of property taxation. Participants will learn how property taxes are calculated and the role of the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD) in property appraisals, exemptions, and protest processes. The program reviews key exemptions, including homestead, disability, and recent updates to Over 65/Disabled exemptions affecting Harris County, school districts, and Cities.
