This Texas Secretary of State-mandated training allows Texas residents to be appointed as Volunteer Deputy Registrar and register eligible citizens to vote. The Harris County Tax Office (HCTO) in‑person trainings cover essential guidelines and best practices to support civic engagement in Harris County, Texas. Once deputized by the Harris County Voter Registrar, attendees will be able to register eligible Harris County residents to vote.

To be eligible to serve as a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar, you MUST be:
- At least 18 years of age
- A citizen of the United States
- A Texas resident
