Recommended for children 3 to 5 years old. This program is designed for children who are ready to sit and listen to stories in addition to enjoying songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes.  

Tickets are required for all programs, unless otherwise noted. They are are free and available at 10:00 am when the library opens at the Children's Reference Desk. Tickets are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. Lines for tickets sometimes form before the tickets are distributed. Tickets can run out quickly so please plan accordingly.

If you knit, crochet or do any other form of needlecraft please join us for the Freeman Needlecrafters. While attendees are happy to help others through the difficult parts of a project, this club is not intended as a class for instruction.

This is a writers' club meant for all writers to learn more about the art, share their work, and learn from other writers about their work process, publishing, and writing journey.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a brief excerpt from any Work In Progress (WIPs) or other material they are willing to share. At your discretion, you may bring handouts with the material printed on it.

Writers of all levels are welcomed, including people just wanting to learn more!

Step into history and explore the people, places, and events that shaped our country. The American Revolution Experience, a collaborative project of the American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters of the American Revolution is coming to Freeman Library!

The exhibition display panels and interactive kiosks use storytelling and illustration to connect visitors with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation. The exhibit will be on display at Freeman Library from April 27th through May 16th, 2026, during regular library business hours.

This is our ongoing Dungeons & Dragons program where we host a seasoned Game Master to guide you through the mythical world of tabletop roleplaying!

Learn how to embroider a monogram and heart onto a canvas zipper pouch!

This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.
