Calling all brick builders, are you up for a challenge? Teens and Tweens will work to creatively complete a different build mission in an hour each month! Grades 4 to 12.
A virtual tour around the world! Join us every second Tuesday of the month as we learn about the cultural practices, celebrations, food, animals, language, and geography of specific countries through discussion and hands-on activities. In April, we'll explore Australia!
Decompress from a long day at school every Tuesday by playing video games at the library! Challenge your friends to a competition or just come hang out!
No registration is required. This event is open to ages 11 to 18.
Enjoy a classic movie in the Movie Time Club!
This month we will show the movie, The Rescuers (1977, PG). When an orphan girl is kidnapped no-one seems to care, except a secret worldwide association of mice called The Rescue Aid Society: `The Rescuers'. Bernard and Bianca, two members of The Rescuers, set out on a perilous journey to find Penny.
Parents, want to know more before the viewing? Read more about this movie (and many others!) on CommonSenseMedia.org
Join us at the Parker Williams Library Innovation Lab for our 3D Printer Orientation!
This orientation session will introduce participants to the 3D printing services we offer at the library. Those who complete the orientation will then be able to request supervised time to use a 3D printer at any HCPL branch that has one. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer in the future.
This event is open to all ages. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
