Step into the Literacy League, where stories come to life! Our Chapter Champions (teens) are ready to guide your Story Seekers (children; grades K-3rd) through the wonders of the written word in stories, information, and books. The Literacy League is a literacy program to provide teen mentorship and guidance to K-3rd graders pursuant to establishing and promoting a culture of literacy and books at the library and beyond into their home Reading Refuge.

Learn how to assemble your own prom corsage or boutonnière using faux flowers and other craft supplies! Either create one for yourself or wow your prom date with your creativity. 

Each attendee will be able to assemble either one corsage or one boutonnière.
This program is limited to teens. Please do not register children or adults!Registration is required due to limited seating and supplies.

The Galveston Bay Area Scale Modelers Association (GBASMA) is a chartered member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).. Club meetings are held monthly to present each other's current projects, share new modeling techniques, answer modeling questions and promote the hobby. We meet 10 AM to 12:30 PM on the 4th Saturday of each month except for May(meets the week after), November (meets the week before) and December.(no meeting).  
Registration not required.

We're having a Plant Swap at Kingwood Branch Library!

This is a free event. Selling of plants/cuttings/seedlings is prohibited.

To ensure there is enough space, please do not bring more than 15 plants/cuttings/or seedlings.

Bring unwanted plants, pots, seeds, or other gardening items to swap with other plant enthusiasts.

Guidelines:

Bring an indoor or outdoor plant in a pot you are willing to part with. Pots, seeds, and other plant care items are also great for swapping.
