Do you have a child in kindergarten through 3rd grade who loves stories—or one who could use a little extra reading support? Harris County Public Library’s Book Buddies is a FREE, fun-filled literacy program that pairs enthusiastic, trained teen volunteers (Big Buddies) with younger readers (Little Buddies) for 10 weeks of reading adventures!

Join us for a special program 'Dance to Learn' hosted by the Houston Ballet! Dance to Learn is a creative movement integration program that approaches academic curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective, with a focus on student’s self-expression and building confidence.

*For children of Pre-K to Kindergarten age only, Registration required.

Take your creations to new heights in this month's Brick Layer's Club!

• Occurrence: Thursdays, weekly (unless otherwise noted)

• Description: Stories, songs, and movement! Get ready to sing, play, read, and talk with Ms. Missy in this action-packed story time.

• Learn to build, design, and program amazing robots using LEGO bricks, motors, sensors, and software! Led by volunteer instructor Shantilal Zanwar.

Join us for a craft time for our youngest artists! This activity is intended for children ages 2 and up.

We want to have enough materials for everyone who wants to join in on the fun! Depending on weather and mess level, this program will either be outside the library or in the children's section upstairs.
