Join us in the library conference room to ease into art by painting in watercolor and paint pen on rice paper. It will be a beautiful yet not too hard Asian scene. You will also get the opportunity to sign your work of art not just in your name, but written in Chinese. Registration is required and it is for ages 18 & up.

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, teens will design and paint traditional Japanese-style watercolor paper fans. This workshop is a great opportunity to explore cultural inspiration while experimenting with color, pattern, and design techniques.
LITTLE LEARNERS: KOI FISH KITES WORKSHOP

In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, children will explore culture and creativity by making traditional Japanese koi fish kites (Koinobori). This hands-on activity is a fun way for kids to learn about symbolism, tradition, and artistic expression while crafting something they can proudly take home.

In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, children will explore culture and creativity through a fun, hands-on activity: making candy sushi!
This playful workshop blends imagination and learning as kids “cook up” their own colorful sushi-inspired treats using candy and snack ingredients. It’s a delicious way to spark curiosity and celebrate cultural inspiration in a kid-friendly format.
The Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library will host a New Year's Paper Lantern Craft for adults which will commemorate Asian Pacific Heritage Month. The participants utilize construction paper, plastic bottles and tassels to craft the lantern. This program is for adults ages 18 +. Registration is required for this activity and call the library if you need assistance. We will meet in the conference room.

Join us as we celebrate with a fashion show featuring traditional attire, and get hands on with a fluffy paper rose community craft.
It's a fun, family-friendly day of culture, connection, and celebration!
Adults and teens are invited to join us Saturday, May 9th, for a hands-on sublimation workshop celebrating AAPI through art and design. Participants will learn all about the process of sublimation and how they can book time to use sublimation equipment at select HCPL maker locations for their own projects!
Attendees will learn sublimation techniques by creating a full-color Asian American and Pacific Islander Month-themed metal business card. Participants will have the opportunity to choose from 2 pre-selected designs, created by our guest instructor, Sonny!
