Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize. 

Siblings are always welcome. 

We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located. 

No registration or tickets required.

Celebrate the Barbara Bush Library turning 50! 

Join us after hours for a documentary about librarians in Texas and how book bans affect their communities. 

Refreshments will be available as supplies last. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Harris County Public Library’s Book Buddies is a FREE, fun-filled literacy program that pairs enthusiastic, trained teen volunteers (our amazing Big Buddies) with younger readers (Little Buddies) for 9 weeks of reading adventures!

Play, Learn, and Grow Together! 

From September 2 through September 30, our regular Patty Cake Baby Story Time will be replaced by the Play and Grow Family Place Workshops. Baby Story Time will return on October 7.

Join us for this special 5-week parent-child workshop designed to support early childhood development while strengthening the bond between children and their caregivers. Children ages 1–3 will enjoy hands-on play with toys and activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning.
