Let your creativity shine at our Dream Catcher Making program at the Highlands Stratford Branch Library! Join us for a fun, hands-on crafting experience where participants of all ages can create their own unique dream catchers to take home. Whether you’re a crafting expert or trying something new, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore your creativity and enjoy an afternoon of art and imagination. Bring your family and friends and make special memories together at the library!
Join us for a free 5 week parent and child play time and workshop for families with kids ages 1 - 3 years old (older siblings are welcome to accompany them). These will be held Mondays at 6 pm from November 2 - November 30. Please register using the online registration. This program was designed by Family Place Libraries.
Join our hand-sewing group and create a charming felt Christmas tree to brighten your holiday décor! Along the way, you’ll also learn how to make a beautiful bow to add the perfect finishing touch to your handmade creation. For ages 18 and up. Free but registration is required. In partnership with Barbara Bush Library’s First Responder and Trunk or Treat event, join the Early Learning Quality Network on October 30th at 10am for a community exchange for families with young children. Children may choose one book from our ELQN book fair. Families will have the opportunity to donate gently used children’s books, canned goods, and baby supplies in exchange for up to an additional 5 new books per family from our book fair. Items donated will benefit Barbara Bush Library’s food pantry, the Library Frien

Our neighbors who come to the rescue when we have an emergency will be in uniform and bring their vehicles, too! You can ask them questions about their career, see their equipment up close, and imagine your own future as a community helper.
We will also be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat! It will practically be Halloween so why wait? Get a head start on your candy collection when you visit the library.

Join us for a fun, sustainable craft! For Fall Nature Collage, we will spend time outdoors looking for supplies, such as leaves, sticks, pine cones, or flowers. Then, come inside and make art with them! This program is for ages 0-17.
