Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by creating your own unique tin foil art, also known as Hojalata art. We will be using aluminum foil, pencils and permanent colored sharpies (so don't wear your favorite clothes!) 

Hojalata is a form of Mexican folk art that involves embossing and painting tin/aluminum to create vibrant designs. 

Join us in the Fairbanks Library meeting room for this fun and easy art project and create a masterpiece that you can keep!

This program is designed for children aged 6 to 11 years old but siblings of other ages are welcome too!

Join Michael, Octavia Field's Children's Librarian, for an afternoon of STEAM fun.  We'll find out circuits work, and then, we'll have fun creating drawings with copper tape, batteries and mini-lights in order to create our own circuit. (Ages 6-11)

What does music look like? Listen to classical pieces and paint what you hear - fast or slow, loud or soft, any colors you can imagine! This craft is for kids in grades K-5.
