Join STAR Net to learn about NASA's Artemis 2 mission and all that transpired on our first journey around the moon in over 50 years, and look ahead to the future of the Artemis program. Paul Byrne is a Planetary Scientist who worked on NASA's MESSENGER mission, the first to orbit the planet Mercury. His research focuses on comparing and contrasting the surfaces and interiors of planetary bodies, including Earth, to understand why planets look the way they do.

This will be a live, interactive, video presentation shown at the Evelyn Meador Library.

Tommy Terrific presents A Magical Dinosaur Dig! With the help of the Magician’s Handbook, kids guide Tommy on a magical adventure where the world of dinosaurs comes alive in wacky and unexpected ways. From the T. rex to the Triceratops and beyond, young audiences will uncover fun facts about dinosaurs and the age in which they lived.

This program will be held in the children's area of the library. No ticket required, but due to limited space, seating is on a first come, first served basis!

Bilingual Storytime for School-Age Children

Join Ms. Tina for an interactive bilingual storytime featuring stories in both English and Spanish. Children will enjoy engaging activities, songs, and dinosaur-themed stories while building language and literacy skills.

This program promotes cultural awareness and a love of reading in two languages.

NOTE: Due to the materials and equipment being used, this program is for patrons age 6 and up. Children under the age of 10 are required to be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

Join us to "Unearth a Story" by digging up some fossils. Could you find a trilobite or something else? Come find out!!

Dig up "fossils" buried in our excavations sites and learn some fun facts too! Space is limited, first come, first served.

Wish You Were Here – Footprints Through Time
When you discover a mysterious suitcase filled with expedition tools, you’ll use your imagination and senses to search for dinosaur fossils! Journey through the jungle, dig for bones at an excavation site, rescue dinosaurs from tar pits, and collect dino eggs—just be careful of the earth-shaking volcano!

  • Because this program includes hands-on props and materials, participants should disclose any allergies or sensitivities.

Do you love birds? Do you find owls fascinating? Have you ever wondered what they eat? Come find out and do a owl pellet dissection guided by a ranger from Sheldon Lake State Park! 

The program will be in English and is limited to 30 participants, ages 6 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
