Join Spring Branch-Memorial Library’s Tween & Teen Chess Club!

Anyone ages 8-18 can join us on the 1st Thursday of each month. In July we are meeting at 3:30 PM because the library is closing early on Thursday, July 3rd for the Independence Day holiday.

Let’s get drawing with artist Bob Doll! Join us for a hands-on introduction to drawing where you will learn how to use shapes, shading, shadow, and more to bring your drawings to the next level. 

All materials provided. 

Open to ages 11-18 only. 

Tickets will be required and available for free at the front desk 15 minutes before event start time.

Join us at the Barbara Bush Branch for a celebration of community this Summer!

This year's Summer Reading theme is "Unearth a Story", and the Cypress Creek community is coming together to celebrate how our stories bring us together. Bring the whole family and meet old friends while making new ones.

There will be face painting, Kona Ice, and games galore! There is no age restriction, so bring the whole family. This event is free with no ticket required.

Add glow in the dark powder to your slime and see how it glows!

All materials provided. 

Programs are always free and made possible by our Friends of the Fairbanks Library. Teen programs are designed for middle schoolers and high schoolers.

Join STAR Net to learn about NASA's Artemis 2 mission and all that transpired on our first journey around the moon in over 50 years, and look ahead to the future of the Artemis program. Paul Byrne is a Planetary Scientist who worked on NASA's MESSENGER mission, the first to orbit the planet Mercury. His research focuses on comparing and contrasting the surfaces and interiors of planetary bodies, including Earth, to understand why planets look the way they do.

This will be a live, interactive, video presentation shown at the Evelyn Meador Library.

Join our Tween Book Club here at the Barbara Bush Branch Library! We will discuss a new book every month paired with a fun activity.

The book for June will be The Firefly Summer by Morgan Matson.

Popcorn is, of course, provided! You may bring you own snacks too.
