Are you a teen or tween interested in storytelling, illustration, and manga? Join us for a four-week creative series designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of creating their own manga or comics.

In a welcoming and supportive environment, participants will explore the creative process, including:

Do you want to be the very best trainer? Pokémon Club is for anyone who enjoys making crafts, playing games, doing Pokémon challenges all while meeting new friends who enjoy pocket monsters as much as you do. 

Every month there is a new event in this club, so the adventure is always changing.

Ages 8+

Get creative in your own way at our painting program! Teens will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of canvases and fun objects to paint that they can keep, gift, or display anywhere. All supplies will be provided. 

For teens in grades 6-12. No registration required.

Come test your pop culture knowledge in a game of trivia that you won't want to miss! Teens will compete against their peers for the chance to win bragging rights and a cool prize!

Teens are recommended to bring their own mobile device to participate.

Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!

This orientation session will introduce participants to 3D printing services in the library. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer.

This event is open to all ages. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Harris County Public Health will be at the Fairbanks Branch Library Thursday, November 12 and Thursday, January 14th from 1-5 providing vaccines for the public and additional health services via their Mobile Health Unit.  

 Checkups, wellness exams & cancer (cervical, breast, prostate) screenings

 Pap exams, Pregnancy testing & birth control
 Referrals, counseling & follow-up care

Who says embroidery needs a needle and thread? This time, we're trading stitches for sprinkles and turning cupcakes into edible works of art!

Join us for a sweet afternoon of creativity as we use colorful sprinkles to "embroider" cute and colorful designs onto delicious cupcakes. From flowers and hearts to your own unique patterns, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination!
