Community Health & Wellness Services provided by Harris County Public Health at the Fairbanks Branch Library.  Come visit the Mobile Dental Clinic for:
First visits include a dental screening.
Follow-up visits may include a dental cleaning or basic treatment.

Adults and Children are welcome

Walk-ins are Welcome

This service is available from 8 am -3 pm each Monday with a lunch from 12-1.

Teens! Hang out, play games, and do something awesome at the library! We have tablets, a huge digital table, game consoles, and more for FREE use. Meet new friends, challenge yourself, and unleash your creativity! 

For ages 12-17, 18 if in school.

If your student is struggling with math or has a simple question, come see Ms. Patricia for some one-on-one help! Each student should bring a homework or school work that they need help with. This program is for students in 4th to 12th grade. Registration is online, but walk-ins may be accepted.

Join the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC): Lead, Serve, and Create!

Want to make your voice heard and help shape what happens at your library? The Stratford Branch Library is looking for motivated teens to join the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC)—a team of young leaders who help connect local youth with the library and the wider community.

As a TAC member, you won’t just attend meetings—you’ll help plan programs, influence decisions, and create a better space for teens through service, advocacy, and leadership.

This workshop will help you better understand the GED process and connect you with tools and resources to prepare for success. Participants will learn about the four GED subject areas, testing requirements, study strategies, preparation resources, practice tests, and options for finding local or online GED support.

Whether you're just getting started or have already begun preparing, you'll leave with practical tips, helpful resources, and clear next steps toward earning your GED.

Ready to make your next move? Join us for Teen Chess Night presented by First Checkmate! Test your strategy, improve your game, and compete in friendly matches with other teens.

All skill levels are welcome. 

Chess boards provided.

Join us at for a sensory-friendly yoga and meditation session designed to help teens reduce stress, build confidence, and recharge through mindful movement, breathwork, and guided relaxation. 

No experience needed. 

All props and mats provided. 

Waivers will be available at the front desk 15 minutes before program start time. All participants must have a parent/guardian signed waiver on file for entry.
