Little Sprouts Baby Story Time is a ticketed story time that is every Tuesday at 11 am at the Katy Library. Please make sure to arrive early to receive a ticket. This event is for non-walking babies only. We ask that older children are left out for safety.

*Programs and services are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliant. Special accommodations can be requested in advance by contacting the library.

Texas Sized Pride for America's 250th - Preserving our Heritage: Step into history and discover the people, places, and events that shaped our nation. Through engaging storytelling and vivid illustrations, the exhibit’s display panels and interactive kiosks bring to life the stories behind our country’s founding.

The exhibit will be on display at the Katy Library for the entire month of July, during regular library business hours.

This exhibit is sponsored by the Sam Houston Chapter, Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Join us on Monday, July 13, at 4pm for Stage Combat: Dancing with Swords, an interactive children's program presented by iACT Houston. (Ages 8-11)  Students will learn to use the traditional positions of fencing to choreograph their own stage combat combination/scene!  Students will practice with special safety foam swords. 

This is a ticketed program, so please visit the front desk 15 minutes before the class begins.  Due to the physical nature of the event, waivers will be required.

This beginner friendly lesson will introduce participants to various hand embroidery stitches and techniques.

  • This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.
  • This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.
  • Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.

Come to all 5 sessions for a chance to win a starter kitchen set complete with pots, pans, and more cooking essentials!

No experience is required and all ingredients and materials will be provided.

He will discuss the basics of AI, how to use it safely and wisely, as well as the pros and cons of AI. All ages are welcome, but most of the presentation will be geared towards teens and adults.
