Are you ready to try a new craft but already have a house overflowing with art supplies?
Come to our Community Craft Swap!
Bring new or gently used craft supplies to swap with other crafters.
What this is:
- The opportunity to trade supplies you already have for supplies needed for a craft you want to try at no cost.
- A chance to swap the colors of yarn or types of fabric you have for different types that other crafters might have.
- A chance to meet and socialize with other crafters in your community.
What this is NOT:
- A for-profit craft swap nor an opportunity to sell crafted projects. This event is free to attend and no money should be exchanged.
- An opportunity to get rid of mostly used, damaged, or broken supplies. Supplies should be in good condition, in clean containers, and neatly packaged for transport.
Here are just a few examples of acceptable Craft Swap supplies:
- Skeins of yarn
- Complete sets of art tools (i.e. color pencils, markers, paintbrushes)
- Yards of fabric or, at minimum, fat quarters
- Unused spools of sewing thread
- Whole sheets of craft/scrapbooking paper
- Bags or boxes of beads
If space allows, each crafter who brings supplies to swap will have a 24" x 30" station to set their supplies for the swap. Please do not bring more, or larger, items than that space can accommodate.
Due to library storage limitations, any un-swapped craft supplies will be returned to the crafter who brought them at the end of the event.
This event is for Ages 13+
