The Family Place Libraries Workshop is a five-week program intended for children, aged 4 years and under, and their caregivers/parents. Caregivers and children gather in a room with passive toys that encourage creative play and learning. The sessions will also include a local, child, community resource professional (CRP), who will provide information and answer questions and concerns of caregivers on topics related to early child development.
- Register any children 4 years-old and younger
- Workshop sessions meet once a week for five consecutive weeks.
- Workshop includes child-led playtime and the chance to speak one-on-one with a community child professional during each session.
- Other adults and siblings (ages 0-4) are also welcome to attend sessions with their registered siblings. However, siblings over 4 years old should not be in attendance, as this may detract from purpose of this workshop intended for 0- to 4-year-olds.
- Some sessions will be more interactive and some more informative.
