Students entering grades 5-12 are invited to join us for the return of an exciting program -- a Harry Potter event! This year, we're celebrating inside the restricted section of the Hogwarts library, to enjoy a fun book themed craft, a unique drink, and a trivia game. The trivia winner will receive a prize, but all participants will leave with Harry Potter themed treats.

Texas Sized Pride for America's 250th - Preserving our Heritage: Step into history and discover the people, places, and events that shaped our nation. Through engaging storytelling and vivid illustrations, the exhibit’s display panels and interactive kiosks bring to life the stories behind our country’s founding.
The exhibit will be on display at the Katy Library for the entire month of July, during regular library business hours.

Join us for a creative program bedazzling teen books! Participants will receive a free book to bedazzle, on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, participants can also bring their own book to bedazzle. Snacks will also be provided throughout the program, so come and join us for a fun and interactive program!

Learn Latin Club will introduce elementary Latin and Ancient Roman culture to middle school (4th--8th grade) students. Students will be using the Aequora textbook created by the Paideia Institute, a nonprofit organization for the Classics. Students will participate in activities such as drawing scenes from Greco-Roman mythology and drawing comics with Latin words. Over 60% of English words are Latin-based --- students can expect to gain a deeper understanding of English grammar and vocabulary through interaction with Latin in this program.
