The Next Chapter Classics Revisited returns Thursday, September 03 at 10:15 AM in our downstairs Meeting Room. We look forward to showing The Goonies, the 1985 American adventure comedy film directed by Richard Donner from a screenplay by Chris Columbus based on a story by Steven Spielberg. This film stars Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Corey Feldman, and Kerri Green. Rated PG, The Goonies lasts 1 hour, 54 minutes. This film includes Closed Captions.

Adults – the Next Chapter Monday Matinee continues Monday, August 24 at 2:00 in our Upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to seeing Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the rip-roaring third installment of the Indiana Jones saga, Indy's chance discovery of a detailed diary reunites him with his long-lost archaeologist father. Both seek to uncover the whereabouts of the fabled Holy Grail while contending with an alluring undercover Nazi agent. This film stars Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, Alison Doody, Denholm Elliott, and John Rhys-Davies.
Recommended for children 3 to 5 years old. This program is designed for children who are ready to sit and listen to stories in addition to enjoying songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes.
Tickets are required for all programs, unless otherwise noted. They are free and available at 10:00 am when the library opens at the Children's Reference Desk. Tickets are limited and offered on a first come first served basis. Lines for the tickets sometimes form before the tickets are distributed. Tickets can run out very quickly so please plan accordingly.
The Galveston Bay Area Scale Modelers Association (GBASMA) is a chartered member of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS).. Club meetings are held monthly to present each other's current projects, share new modeling techniques, answer modeling questions and promote the hobby. We meet 10 AM to 12:30 PM on the 4th Saturday of each month except for May(meets the week after), November (meets the week before) and December.(no meeting).
