The floor is lava and you have to save all the ducks from burning up! Can you conquer this build challenge and save all the rubber ducks from the lava using only common household items?

Teens and tweens ages 11 - 17 are invited to a social hour with games, crafts, and fun! Registration is preferred but not required—feel free to drop in!

Teens ages 12-18 are invited to learn how to cook molten lava cakes at the Spring Branch-Memorial Branch Library on Thursday, July 30th at 3:30 PM. This recipe will include gluten, eggs, chocolate, sugar, and dairy. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions.

A waiver is required to attend the program which will be emailed upon registration.

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is an opportunity for teenagers to voice their ideas and opinions regarding library programs. Participation can be used for community service hours. 

You don't need a library card to participate in this meeting. You also do not need to register, just show up!

Teens ages 13 and up are invited to join a three-week mini Dungeons & Dragons adventure set at a mysterious summer camp deep in the woods. Teens will work together to investigate strange sightings, track down legendary cryptids, and uncover what’s really lurking beyond the campfire’s glow!

No prior D&D experience is required—new and experienced players are welcome. Pre-made Character sheets and dice will be provided. Registration is limited so sign up now!

Learn the basics of archery in this fun, hands-on program for teens! Participants will learn about stance, grip, posture, and safety using foam and Velcro-tipped arrows in an inflatable range. No experience needed. Presented by Texas Parks & Wildlife. 

Open to ages 11-18 only. 

Tickets will be required and available for free at the front desk 15 minutes before event start time. 

A waiver signed by a parent or guardian is also required for entry.

Presented by Artist Boat, Eco-Art Camp will unearth the secrets hidden at the bottom of the ocean.  During this weeklong camp at the library, students will experience hands-on activities and art creation to understand “Benthic Communities” or what is at the bottom of the ocean. Participants will create watercolor seascapes, glow in the dark acrylic portraits of deep ocean dwelling organisms and create coral models out of clay.

Texas Sized Pride for America's 250th - Preserving our Heritage: Step into history and discover the people, places, and events that shaped our nation. Through engaging storytelling and vivid illustrations, the exhibit’s display panels and interactive kiosks bring to life the stories behind our country’s founding.

The exhibit will be on display at the Katy Library for the entire month of July, during regular library business hours.

This exhibit is sponsored by the Sam Houston Chapter, Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
