Join us for an interactive story time for all ages! This program features books and activities on the first Monday of the month.
Join us for Preschool Story Time each Tuesday at 11:30 am where we will listen to stories, sing and dance, and do an occasional craft to explore creativity and also help build fine motor skills each week! Our program will be held in the children’s area of the Fairbanks Branch Library. This program is for children ages 3-6. Siblings are always welcome!

Do you have a child in kindergarten through 3rd grade who loves stories—or one who could use a little extra reading support? Harris County Public Library’s Book Buddies is a FREE, fun-filled literacy program that pairs enthusiastic, trained teen volunteers (our amazing Big Buddies) with younger readers (Little Buddies) for 9 weeks of reading adventures!
Reading Sessions begin: Mondays | 4:45 PM – 5:30 PM
Join us every Tuesday for Family Storytime! Bring the whole family to sing fun songs, read engaging stories, and create simple crafts together.
**Due to early voting in October, this program will be in the children's area of the library**
Join the Katy Library monthly for Big Kid Story Time for children ages 5-11! This story time is recommended for elementary-aged children and will include fun books, songs, and more! See you there!

It's that time again! Book Buddies is a FREE literacy program that brings teens and children (Kinder-3rd) together to share the joy of reading. This is a 10 week program that meets once a week for 45 minutes. Our first meeting will be September 11th so sign up now! For more information click here.

This show features a variety of characters from a wide range of cultures in stories that celebrate the various folk tale traditions of the Spanish-speaking world.Additional Info: Free! Led by DACAMERA Young Artists, kids identify patterns in everyday life and in music and have the opportunity to create musical patterns of their own. Remixed for Hispanic Heritage Month, participants learn about rhythmic patterns from various Hispanic countries and musical genres.
