Teen volunteers interested in the Northwest Branch Library must attend this orientation in order to begin volunteering. The orientation will last half an hour and go over the basics of volunteering at Northwest Library. Volunteers must be age 15+ and must fill out a volunteer application. You can find these applications at the front desk of the library or online.

In this program, teens are invited to get creative and make "quilt squares" out of paper and other media while learning about the myth of the Underground Railroad Quilt Codes and the impact that myth has left. Squares will be "stitched" together and displayed in the library afterwards! All materials and snacks will be provided.

This program is for teens ages 13-18.

Every session is a brand-new, hands-on adventure where tweens create, explore, and innovate using STEAM principles.

This program is for children 8-12. Online registration required. 

Parent/Guardian attendance is required at this program.

Join us for a delightful afternoon of creativity at our Paint and Sip program! For January & February, we will be following along a step-by-step online instructor and painting a "Almond Blossoms".

Registration will open on February 3rd at 10AM.

Tea Party Time! Grab your toddlers and wear your finest dresses and suits for a short storytime followed by tea (applejuice) and crumpets (mini-muffins and fruits). We will have some easy crafts and toys for entertainment.

And Yes, we will be wearing tiaras and crowns and of course we have to take lots of pictures!

(Please register children only. Limit of 20 young attendees)

Join Michael, Octavia Field Library Branch's Children's Librarian, for an hour of nursery rhymes, storytelling, arts & crafts and playtime. We'll talk, sing, write, read and play, and your toddler age kiddos will have so much fun that they won't even realize they are gaining valuable pre-literacy skills. Ages 0-5.
