Our 5-week program introduces learning through play to children and their parents. It’s an opportunity for parents to learn more about and bond with their children. Parents will meet other parents and resource professionals, too!

This program is for ages 0-3.
Tickets are required and will be handed out at the front desk 15 minutes before the program.
Tickets will not be available 15 minutes after the program has started.

Do you need help with technology? Book a 45-minute appointment with a staff member, we will try to help you figure it out!

Registration is required. To assist as many individuals as possible, you may only register for one appointment per week. If no one arrives by 2:00, the appointment will be canceled.

Join us in conjunction with Writers in the Schools (WITS), for a poetry series like you've NEVER SEEN BEFORE! Our WITS instructor will take you on a journey through writing and mixed media art! This series will not only allow you to learn, write, and perform (if you'd like) your poetry for the community, but also to create your own 3D printed masterpiece over the course of 8 weeks! Join us at the HCPL West University Branch Library for  Tuesday Storytime with other toddlers and parents/caregivers.

Storytime fosters early literacy skills and a love for reading in a cozy, welcoming environment. Books, stories, songs, movements and group play time. Come and develop your child’s early literacy skills in this supportive, community environment.

Come and join us for 45 minutes of sensory exploration and discovery! Our "Little Explorers" program is for preschool age children from 0 - 5 years old and their caregivers. Please dress to get messy! This event is free to attend and all materials will be provided. Each session requires a free ticket for kids in attendance. Tickets are available in the library on the morning of the event.


Sorry we cannot accommodate Daycare groups for this program.

Join us for a free, 12-week class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. An English assessment must be taken for class admittance. Taking this class does not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.

At the end of each month, this program will be a dedicated play time to allow for play, socializing and building of developmental skills.

Join us for a fun interactive weekly story time perfect for walkers. Tiny Tykes uses stories, songs and finger plays to engage toddlers and their parents/caregivers. Tickets are required and will be handed out at the information desk 15 minutes prior.

Tickets will not be available 10 minutes after any program has started.

They will offer tax return preparation and ITIN applications and renewals.

Families and individuals earning up to $58,000 are eligible.

No appointments (walk-ins only).

Please bring a photo ID and the social security card of everyone listed on your tax return.

Spanish speakers will be available.
