Harris County Public Health will be at Aldine library to speak with families about Lead Poisoning Prevention. Please join us on Saturday, Nov. 22nd at 1 pm in the Aldine Library meeting room to learn how to keep your family safe!
Did you know? Exposure to lead can cause serious health effects, including damage to the brain and nervous system, slowed growth and development, learning and behavior problems, and hearing and speech problems.
The HCPH Lead Poisoning Prevention educational presentation provides an overview of lead exposure risks, sources of lead in the home and environment, and strategies to prevent lead poisoning in children and adults. Participants will learn how to recognize potential lead hazards, understand the health effects of lead exposure, and identify local resources for testing, treatment, and support.
