Join us for a very special story time as Harris County Public Library celebrates the 100th birthday of former First Lady Barbara Bush! Mrs. Bush was a passionate supporter of literacy for all and her namesake foundation, the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, is an integral part of uspporting and funding many early literacy programs, including our Family Place Library!

We will have a birthday theme story time, complete with stories, songs, treats and a birthday crown craft. There will be presents too: each child will get to take home a free book while supplies last!

In partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Harris County Public Library presents Art Camp for ages 7-12. Unleash your creativity at this week-long art camp! Students will learn to express themselves through various artistic mediums. Join us at the Northwest Library as we celebrate the legacy of former First Lady Barbara Bush and her 100^th birthday! Mrs. Bush was a passionate supporter of literacy for all and her namesake foundation, the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, is an integral part of supporting and funding many early literacy programs throughout Houston. In honor of her birthday, we will be hosting a special Barbara themed scavenger hunt and have a necklace/bracelet station set up in the library. The necklace and bracelet station will be available while supplies last on June 7.
