Classics Revisited continues Thursday, February 19 at 10:15 AM in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to showing Tombstone, the 1993 American Western film inspired by real events that took place in the 1880s in Southeast Arizona, including the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral and the Earp Vendetta Ride. This film stars Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Michael Biehn, Dana Delany, and Sam Elliott. Rated R for violence, Tombstone lasts 2 hours, 10 minutes. This film includes Closed Captions.

This beginner friendly lesson will introduce participants to cross-stitching, which is a form of counted-thread embroidery using X-shaped stitches to create a pattern.
This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.This orientation session will introduce participants to desktop CNC milling in the library. This orientation session is mandatory before patrons can schedule time to use a desktop CNC mill.
Participants bring their own lunch to enjoy (optional!) while watching genealogy how-to webinars presented by experts in the field, then discuss how to apply the knowledge gained in their own research. The topic of each session will be decided shortly prior to the start of the program, based on input from the participants.

Family Playdate Workshop
The Family Workshop is a six-week program intended for children, aged 5 years and under, and their caregivers. Caregivers and children gather in a room with passive toys that encourage creative play and learning. The sessions will also include a local child expert who will provide information and answer questions and concerns of caregivers on topics related to early child development.
This class is designed for students who are interested in learning and /or practicing speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills in English. Classes are free and all materials are provided. Registration required.

Join us at the Parker Williams Library Innovation Lab for our 3D Printer Orientation!
This orientation session will introduce participants to the 3D printing services we offer at the library. Those who complete the orientation will then be able to request supervised time to use a 3D printer at any HCPL branch that has one. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer in the future.
This event is open to all ages. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
