Summer Reading Program

In this hands-on drumming workshop presented by DACAMERA's Young Artists, students entering grades 4-12 will explore percussion techniques, learn about global music traditions, and discover the power of rhythm for creativity, self- expression, and teamwork. No prior musical experience required, just bring your energy and curiosity!

This workshop will be taught over a series of five classes on Tuesdays from 3-4 PM, starting July 15 and ending August 12. Register today for this series of classes!

This program is open to Adults and Teens ages 14 and older.

Freeman Branch Library presents the one and only Courtney Lee! Join us for a musical story time with songs, stories, and much more. Recommended for children ages 3 to 10 years old who are ready to dance and have fun with Miss Courtney and her guitar!

Miss Courtney will perform two identical shows, one at 10:15am and the other at 11:15am!

The Next Chapter Summer Film Fest (SFF) concludes Thursday, August 28 at 10:15 AM. We look forward to showing A Real Pain, the 2024 buddy comedy film about mismatched cousins reuniting for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother, but their old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family historyRated R for mature language and some drug use, the movie runs 1 hour, 30 minutes. This film includes Closed Captions.

Celebrate summer with us, and drop by the library for a cool, refreshing treat! We'll be serving raspas (shaved ice) in the Meeting Room with some activities, or you can just come in and read while you enjoy a cold dessert.

A variety of flavors will be offered for you to enjoy!
