On behalf of Harris County Universal Services Department, I would like to welcome you to Computer Basics, the first class in our “Growing Digitally with US” Basic Digital Training & Assistance series. Universal Services serves as the solutions center for county departments and offices by providing IT and technology services.
This program is recommended for babies aged 0-18 months, accompanied by a parent or caregiver. It includes age-appropriate stories, rhymes, bounces, and songs that lay the foundation for reading. Children will also develop sensory, fine motor, and social skills through playtime.
Where Are We Going?
We look forward to having some fun with trains at Zube Park in Hockley, Texas, dining at Chappell Hill Bakery & Deli, and enjoying ice cream at Blue Bell.
Houston Area Live Steamers at Zube Park
Our first stop will be at Zube Park (17560 Roberts Rd, Hockley, TX 77447) to see the Houston Area Live Steamers (HALS), live steam modeling devoted to model trains large enough to ride.
Please join us the Friday of spring break for Sidewalk Chalk! Come make your mark. Recommended for children of all ages. Let your creativity soar. Chalk and stencils will be provided.
Sidewalk chalk will take place on the library sidewalks nearest the side parking lot closest to Diana Lane.
No tickets are required. We will be coloring from 2:30 to 4:00 pm.

We will use candy, a wooden cube, wooden beads, stencils, and paint in order to create a ghibli-themed decor box. All materials provided. Your hands WILL get paint on them, please wear something you don't mind getting dirty.

This program is recommended for children 18 months to 3 years old and their parents or caregivers. It features books, songs, fingerplays, music, and movement.
