The Houston Ballet is back for the Summer at the JC Library! Come ready to move and dance for the Move and Read Aloud Program brought to the JC Library by the Houston Ballet! Dance to Learn is a movement integration program that approaches academic curriculum from a kinesthetic perspective. A storytime format, but with LOTS more movement and dancing!

* program runs for 8 weeks starting June 2nd, registration is required

*intended for PK-2nd, siblings welcome!

Join us every Monday to create a new masterpiece! In this program you will learn about various types of art and use a variety of medium to create a unique art project each week. This program is geared toward children ages 5-12 years old.

Space is limited; event may be held in groups with staggering start times if room reaches capacity. Please pick up your free tickets at the Children's Reference Desk every Monday beginning at 1:45 pm.

Each week one of our technology enthusiasts will be available to spend time with you working on your specific tech question. Registration is recommended. The Next Chapter invites adults of all ages to join us for Matinee Mondays in Summer 2025. On Monday, July 21 at 2:00 PM, we look forward to showing Pretty in Pink, the 1986 coming of age romantic comedy starring Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy, Jon Cryer, James Spader, and Harry Dean Stanton. Rated PG-13, this movie runs 1 hour, 37 minutes. Join a Digital Navigator from Harris County Universal Services at the Aldine Library for a 6 week computer basics course. Classes are FREE and no registration is required. Starts June 5 - July 10th

Teens, want to get involved with making the library an inviting and fun place for teens? Or just need some volunteer hours? 

Join our Teen Advisory Group (TAG)! Ages 12-17 welcome.
Teens will assist in planning teen programs they want to see offered at the library.
