Discovery Time with Miss Christine is a fun story time for the entire family. Each week we focus on building literacy skills by incorporating the five essential early literacy practices: sing, talk, read, write, and play. These practices support language development, comprehension, and creativity, while also laying the groundwork for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning.
- This program has been designed for children aged 3 to 10 years old. Younger siblings may participate with the active support of a parent or caregiver, and as long as they do not disrupt the program.
- To ensure your position in the program, please register each child who will be attending.
- Programs, events, and classes are photographed or videotaped for library promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, notify library staff.
Daycares, Schools, or Home-School Groups
The safety of the children we serve is our first consideration. Room capacity, as determined by the fire marshal, and our desire for a high-quality program experience for the children may necessitate limits on the participation of organized groups.
Due to the popularity of our regularly scheduled story times, we cannot accommodate large groups. Please contact Miss Christine at the library to discuss alternative options.
