We're back at it here at the Barbara Bush Branch Library! Join us for our fourth Pumpkin Patch Kids Contest. Show off your favorite spooky (or not so spooky) book characters, gourd style.
Registration is required. One entry per family, please. Multiple pumpkins of varying sizes can be combined into one entry as long as their combined size is no larger than a basketball. Three prizes will be awarded: "Sour Patch (silliest)", "Crowd Favorite", and "The Great Pumpkin".
Don't forget to come in and vote!
What You'll Need:
- Fake / Foam Pumpkin ...must be no bigger than a basketball
- Art Supplies! (acrylic paint, spray paint, permanent markers, googly eyes, felt, yarn, buttons... you get it)
- Favorite Children's book for inspiration
- Optional: 14" x 18" foam display board
Important Details!
- Decorate your pumpkins at home ...foam pumpkins can be carved under adult supervision
- One entry per family
- Most important ...NO real pumpkins please and thank you!
Dates to Remember:
- Pumpkins must be dropped off between Saturday, October 18th, and Tuesday, October 21st during the library's normal business hours
- At drop off, you will be asked to fill out a card with info about your pumpkin & how to contact you
- Winners will be announced on October 29th
