This summer, the Museum of Fine Arts and Harris County Public Library invite children ages 7–12 to discover art through a free, weeklong camp full of creativity and fun!
Each day, participants will:

Create their own artwork inspired by Latin American artists’ techniques, materials, and use of color
Join us for Animonday (Summer Reading Program edition)!
Throughout the summer, we will be picking one anime and watching it the whole way through in three extra-long Animonday sessions. Vote in the branch or on the Katherine Tyra Library's social media in May to help pick the show! Snacks will be provided.
NOTE: this is a young adult program and is aimed at ages 13 through 18. Content may not be appropriate for younger children. Children under age 13 may attend at their parent or guardian's discretion.
Join us weekly on Mondays from 2:00PM to 3:30PM to practice speaking English with other intermediate and advanced learners. Please register for the class by filling out a student application at our front desk.

Children ages 4 -11 years and their families are invited to come and paint space inspired art at this family painting program. Painting can get a little messy, so come prepared! We recommend bringing an apron or wearing clothes that can get paint on them. Due to limited space and supplies, this is a ticketed program. Tickets will be made available on a first come, first served basis 30 minutes before the program starts.
Savvy Stitchers is a friendly group of crafters of all ages, getting together for fellowship while enjoying their creative hobbies. It is a great way to meet neighbors that have a mutual love for knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, quilting, or other crafts. We all love to learn something new!
