Black History Month is an annual celebration to honor the achievements and history of African Americans in the U.S. Join us as we celebrate with a Maker craft, popcorn and the movie, 'Hidden Figures (PG)'. For the Maker Craft, participants will learn about asymmetry while decorating laser-cut masks inspired by the artist Kimmy Cantrell.

An hour-long program weaving history, poetry, and song to honor Black legacy- past, present, and still unfolding. I Colori dell’Opera invites the community to “Beyond Emancipation: The History of Black History Month,” an immersive, performance experience that blends living history, spoken-word poetry, and powerful vocal music into one moving narrative. This program is designed for audiences of all ages and creates space for both celebration and reflection—connecting the legacy of Black history to the power of Black artistry on today’s stages.

Join us for our bilingual Storytime! Every week new story themes like Robots, Superheroes, Dragons, and more! Also, play some instruments with us and interactive games between the tales. 🎸 📚 🎮

Lion Dance Returns to the Library! Get ready for an unforgettable cultural celebration! Be sure to arrive promptly at 12:30 PM so you don’t miss a moment of the excitement of the Lion Dance. The performance will be followed by a traditional Chinese Yo-Yo demonstration and lively folk dances presented by talented FASCA students. Enjoy hands-on activities that bring Chinese culture to life, including making zodiac lanterns, tea tasting, and much more.
