Join us for an out-of-this-world visit from Orbit, the Houston Astros’ mascot! Orbit will be swinging by Bear Creek to share his love of reading and libraries during this fun program for children.
This program will be held in the children's area of the library. No ticket required, but due to limited space, seating is on a first come, first served basis!

This exciting session gives participants the chance to safely observe and learn about a variety of snakes up close. Discover how these fascinating reptiles move, hunt, and survive in the wild, and gain a better understanding of their important role in the ecosystem.

Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize.
Siblings are always welcome.

Join us for Preschool Story Time each Tuesday at 11:30 am where we will listen to stories, sing and dance, and do an occasional craft to explore creativity and also help build fine motor skills each week! Our program will be held in the children’s area of the Fairbanks Branch Library. This program is for children ages 3-6. Siblings are always welcome!

Get a free health checkup at the Galena Park Branch Library! Project Health by CVS will have a mobile unit in front of the library to examine patients for blood pressure, sugar levels, weight, cholesterol, and other screenings.

Parents can learn new vocabulary and practice their English pronunciation by reading picture books to their children for an hour. This program will start Saturday, June 27th at 1pm. Registration is required and by registering you are signing up for the whole series.
