Join us for a cozy and fun Family Storytime at the Maud Smith Marks library! Bring the whole family and settle in for a delightful session of stories, songs, and interactive activities perfect for all ages. Wear your comfiest pajamas, and feel free to bring a favorite stuffed animal or blanket for extra snuggly vibes.
Join us as the Friends of the Maud Marks Library hold their next Members-Only preview used book sale. There is a large selection of hardback fiction and nonfiction, as well as children’s books and paperbacks. All items sell for rock-bottom prices.
If you are not a member of the Friends of the Maud Marks Library, you may join at the door for $10. All proceeds will benefit the library.
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us! Join professional Flamenco dancers and learn more about the beauty, strength, and variety that exists with Flamenco dance and culture. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation of this art through a brief introduction to the origin and history of Flamenco, as well as an explanation of the performance elements that compose this dance. Participants will complete the program by learning choreographed routines. All Ages.
Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!
This orientation session will instruct participants on using the 3D printer in the library . Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer. Attendees will receive the 3D printer and Dremel 3D45 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.
Star Wars Reads is back for 2025! Join us for an afternoon packed with activities! Learn the ways of the Force with the Mustafar Saber Guild, practice your saber skills with virtual reality, shoot down battle droids, and make your own [pool noodle] lightsaber! And last but not least...enter your name for one of our grand prizes!
The Friends of the Library will also be setting up a sale table!
