Celebrate 250 years of American history with a special Americana performance by the Classical Sing, Move & Play Company!

Designed especially for preschoolers, this interactive program introduces young children to American-themed classical music through singing, movement, and playful activities. Children will explore rhythm, creativity, and early learning skills while celebrating the rich musical heritage of the United States. Join us on Thursday, June 4th at 3:00 pm for Classical Sing Move Play's Americana Music.

Join us for our Tween Book Club! We will discuss the book of the month, have snacks, and enjoy book related activities. This month we will be reading "Nightbooks" by J.A. White.

On Friday, May 15th, we will discuss chapters 1-11.

On Friday, May 29th, we will discuss the rest of the book.

This book club is intended for children ages 8-12. Online registration is required; space is limited. 

Once you've received your registration confirmation email, please pick up a copy of the book at the children's reference desk.

Step into history and explore the people, places, and events that shaped our country. The American Revolution Experience, a collaborative project of the American Battlefield Trust and the Daughters of the American Revolution is coming to Freeman Library!

The exhibition display panels and interactive kiosks use storytelling and illustration to connect visitors with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation. The exhibit will be on display at Freeman Library from April 27th through May 16th, 2026, during regular library business hours.
