Adults – the Next Chapter Monday Matinee continues Monday, May 11 at 2:00 in our upstairs Innovation Lab Classroom. We look forward to seeing Lilo & Stitch, the 2002 Disney animated film where Stitch, a runaway genetic experiment from a faraway planet, crash-lands on Earth. As he wreaks havoc on the Hawaiian Islands, he becomes the mischievous adopted alien "puppy" of an independent little girl named Lilo and learns about loyalty, friendship, and 'ohana, the Hawaiian tradition of family.
Come hang out with some adult coloring pages, explore watercolors, try your hand at sketching or bring your own art project to work on. Materials are provided at this two hour chill sesh.
This class is designed for students who are interested in learning and /or practicing speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills in English. Classes are free and all materials are provided.Registration required at the front desk of the library.

The Friends of the Northwest Branch Library are holding their semi-annual book sale! A whole room of books for all ages, movies, music, and more! Most everything will be $1-$2 and 100% of the money earned at the sale go right back to the Northwest library to help fund our programs. So go crazy, give in to your inner book goblin! We look forward to seeing Disney Cinderella, the 2015 Disney live-action adaptation of the treasured fairy tale. This film stars Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Richard Madden, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sophie McShera. Rated PG, this film lasts 1 hour, 45 minutes, and includes closed captions.
