In this summer course, community member and library volunteer, Mrs. Rhee, will teach the Korean language through songs, such as Arirang and Doraji.
Join us Saturday July 18th from 2 to 4 pm in the library conference room for a workshop that is sure to inspire readers and writers alike! Debut Author, Michael McGehee will share his personal experience and journey of bringing his novel, Eulogy for the Stripes to life; from the first idea to finished novel. The Workshop will explore how real-world concerns, personal experience and discipline helped shape his novel and showcase the creative process that can help and inspire others wanting to write a book, or just interested in the story behind the story.

June 1st at 12pm - ChatGPT & A.I. Basics
June 8th at 12pm - Microsoft Word
June 15th at 12pm - Smart Phone Basics Class
Learn how to book time with the Kingwood Library’s Mayku Vacuum Former. This orientation session will introduce participants to vacuum forming services in the library, and the basics on how to create your own uniquely-shaped plastic molds. Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a vacuum former at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a vacuum former.
Make some noise and celebrate with us as America turns 250 years old! The West U Library is partnering with the West U Senior Center for this celebration of America on July 2nd at 12pm where snacks, games, horns, and trivia will be provided. Please RSVP with the West University Senior Center (713-662-5895) by June 25th.

Join us for a free, 12-week class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. An English assessment must be taken for class admittance. Taking this class does not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.
