April is National stress awareness month, and we are relaxing by making our very own lavender sugar body scrub. 

We're using sugar because it's gentle for daily exfoliation and sensitive skin and we're using lavender oil because it helps with mood, anxiety and depression and reduces pain and inflammation. 

You get to make and take your own body scrub in a little jar to try at home plus the recipe to make more if you'd like!

April is National stress awareness month so how about we watch a feel good movie that let's us escape to another place?

With no assigned book or group discussion, Introvert Happy Hour Book Club is ideal for those who want the community of a book club without the homework, conversation, and social pressure. Please join us in the Upstairs Conference Room on the second Monday of the month to read silently as a group without any discussion and enjoy light refreshments provided by the Friends of Freeman Library. The door opens at 6:00 PM.

No registration is necessary for this free program.

Join us at the Parker Williams Library for our diamond painting club meeting! Relax, chat and enjoy this beginner friendly adult club. Diamond painting is a craft activity that involves applying tiny resin rhinestones to a pre-printed canvas to create a mosaic-style art piece. It's also known as crystal art or 5D painting.

This craft is a series since diamond painting may take some time. Patrons must finish a painting before they will be allowed to start a new one.

Come hang out with some adult coloring pages, explore watercolors, try your hand at sketching or bring your own art project to work on. Materials are provided at this two hour chill sesh.

Join Rootsquad Genealogy Group every 3rd Tuesday from 10a-12p to stay up-to-date on current family history industry news, hear research tips, learn from genealogy webinars and expert speakers, and share ways to improve research techniques.   We also tell stories, share heirlooms and in general, enjoy talking about anything genealogy related together.   For virtual link, email kyla.bayang@hcpl.net.

The Aldine Branch Library will be offering:

• ESL - 2 (in-person)
• We will meet once a week on Tuesdays March 31st, 2026 - May 19th from 1pm - 2:30pm

A pre-assessment test is required. Our Literacy Coordinator will help determine the right class for you.

These courses are free of charge.
