Join the Page Turners for a lively book discussion once a month.  This month we will be reading The Wedding People by Alison Espach.

Join us for a presentation about the history of Juneteenth. Known as Freedom Day, it commemorates the day that Federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to ensure that all enslaved people be freed. This presentation will map Juneteenth from that day in 1865 to when we declared a national holiday in 2021.
